las vegas house cleaningHave you ever wondered the proper way to clean your kitchen sink? If you thought your simple spray and wipe method was enough, think again! It’s one of the least fun areas of the house to clean. A simple scrub to your kitchen sink will work wonders to improve the look of your kitchen and allow you to feel like you are not eating in filth.

Don’t worry about using harsh chemicals to get the job done either. Here is a look at a few tricks that will get your kitchen sink sparkling again.

Porcelain Sinks

When you are trying to figure out a solid way to clean your porcelain sink, it may be a challenge since it can be scratched up easily. Using harsh or abrasive cleaners and even commercial cleaners can damage your beautiful porcelain sink.

If you use baking soda, you can avoid having a scratched up sink and it’s strong enough to get the cleaning job done. Create a mixture of one half cup of baking soda with a fourth of a cup of vinegar.

You can also add about five drops of lemon essential oil and clove essential oil and mix it altogether until you’ve created a paste. Apply it to your sink and use a scrub brush to clean it in a circular motion before rinsing well and dry with a cloth.

Stainless Steel Sinks

You can create this mixture to use in your stainless steel sink that can be sprayed at night after the dishes are done when the sink is empty. Mix 2 cups of a baking soda, add 10 drops of lemon essential oil and 10 drops of clove essential oil into a container.

Shake it to combine and then sprinkle a fourth cup into your sink with a squirt of dish soap and scrub it. Rinse well and dry with a cloth.

If you have a cast iron sinks, use the porcelain sink recipe and avoid cleaning scrubbers that could scratch it.
